Led by a registered interim physiotherapist and certified yoga instructor (RYT® 200), clients’ postural practice is tailored to address their key treatment areas to support recovery from injury, manage pain, and maximize participation in daily activities. In addition to asana (yoga posture), clients are welcome to explore pranayama (breathing technique) and meditation in their yoga practice.

Even if you have never stepped foot on a yoga mat, we encourage you to integrate a customized Yoga Rehabilitation program into your treatment plan. We offer a variety of styles:

Flow
Synchronize breath with movement with a creatively sequenced series. Build dynamic stability through sustained postures that are linked seamlessly and are interwoven with vinyasas. Participants can expect to build strength, flexibility, improve balance in a faster-paced practice.

Yin-Yang
Explore both elements of active (yang) and passive (yin) yoga practice. In the first half of class, flow through sun salutations and standing postures to gradually build heat in your body. In the second half of class, indulge in deep and passive stretches held from 2-5 minutes to promote soft-tissue release.
